Aspenhollow Business Capital, based in Olympia, WA, answers business funding questions: whether a business loan can pay the owner, whether an LLC or sole proprietor can qualify, collateral, credit inquiries, early payoff, merchant cash advances and Washington paperwork. Aspenhollow matches your request with funding partners, who review it and make their own decision.
About working with us
Who makes the decision on my request? A funding partner. We match the request with partners that provide the right kind of funding; the partner reviews it, decides and sets any rate and terms. How a request moves explains each step.
Do you make consumer or personal loans? No. Every request has to be for the business, not for household needs. We also do not arrange SBA loans, grants, agriculture or trucking funding.
Do I have to come in? No. Everything happens over the phone or through the online request.
The online request
What does the online request ask? Your full name, phone, email, company name (optional), three required picks (time in business, an annual revenue range and a requested amount range), and a consent checkbox. We cover purpose and timing on the call.
Does sending the request affect my credit? Sending the request does not trigger a credit check by us. A partner reviewing a request may check credit as part of its review; ask the partner how it handles inquiries.
Does applying for a business loan affect personal credit? It can, depending on the partner. Partners may review owner credit, and some inquiries appear on personal reports. Ask the partner how it checks credit before you agree to anything.
Who can request funding
Can an LLC get a business loan? Yes. Partners look at the LLC's bank statements and records and may look at the owners' credit as well.
Can a sole proprietor get a business loan? Yes, partners can consider sole proprietors. A business bank account kept separate from personal spending gives the partner cleaner records to review. Thurston County, WA had 18,681 businesses with no paid employees in 2024 (Nonemployer Statistics 2024).
Do I need to be registered in Washington? Partners may ask for current business records. What applies to your business is a question to confirm with each office; the Washington records guides explain trade names, contractor registration and Olympia, WA licenses.
Money and terms
Can I use a business loan to pay myself as the owner? How owner pay is treated depends on the business structure; partners look at how the money will be used. Be plain about it in the request, and ask a tax adviser how it is treated.
Do you need collateral for a business loan? Not always. Equipment and inventory financing are tied to the goods; some working capital and lines of credit are not tied to a specific asset but may involve a general lien or personal guarantee. Read each agreement.
Can you pay off a business loan early? It depends on the agreement, and the savings vary. Some agreements reduce interest on early payoff; others charge a fee or keep the full cost. Ask before signing.
Can I get rates or amounts before I call? No. Partners set rates, terms and amounts after reviewing a request, and we do not publish ranges.
Merchant cash advances
Is a merchant cash advance a loan? No. It is a sale of a share of future receipts, collected through remittances. Read the merchant cash advance page before considering one.
Should I take a second advance? Stacking advances can take more from daily sales than the business brings in, and an agreement may restrict it. Tell us about every advance you already have.
